Instagram urges users to reconsider following Tucker Carlson in 'insane warning' |
2024-06-25 |
![]() Ashton DeGroot, Blaze Media's social media content coordinator, observed Monday that following Carlson is no easy feat on the Meta platform. A perfunctory search for Carlson failed to turn up his verified account. Instead, impersonators and fan accounts flooded the results. After multiple tries, it appeared clear that Carlson's verified account would only appear if his exact handle, @TuckerCarlson, was entered into the search bar. Upon finding Carlson's account, DeGroot found that Instagram put up one last barrier to engagement, imploring prospective followers to reconsider. #8 Actually, that might be fun, the first time Trump does one of his badmouth things in Kennedy's direction. |

#5 Surely the censorship won’t track back to the government. That would be a 1st Amendment violation. |

#4 Generally the best reason to pick a particular person for VP is they "balance the ticket" or put a state in play that might not otherwise be in play. Carlson does neither. |

#1 Tucker Carlson is a massive talent. For years he was the best thing on TV and the only thing I ever watched on Fox (being that it was uploaded to YouTube). I couldn't believe it when they sacked him. the reason they sacked him was that he shamed the FBI over Jan 6 by showing the footage of Jason (?) Chanseley. The poor kid who painted his face with the flag and was ushered politely through the Capitol by police who opened doors for him, who was denied access to the exonerating footage and was thrown in prison (much of it solitary) for years. He was freed after Tucker aired the security cam footage that the authorities had denied the J6 prisoners for their court cases. Tucker's journalism freed an innocent man from an unjust prison sentence. Congrats, he should win a Pulitzer for that reporting! but he got sacked. So I am very happy to see Tucker doing so well and I'll be excited to watch him in Australia. In other good news, Julian Assange, also a journalist (publisher) has also been freed. Finally. There's a man who never should have been in the prison in the first place. We owe him a great debt of gratitude for Wikileaks. |
