Ukrainian soldiers repulse attacks of Russian occupiers
Russian troops intensified in the Toretsky direction, while maintaining high activity in Pokrovsky.
Since the beginning of the day, 86 military clashes have already occurred at the front. After a long lull, the Russian military became more active in the Toretsk direction. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced this in an evening report on Tuesday, June 18.
“Ukrainian soldiers are courageously repelling enemy attacks. Our reconnaissance, artillery, aviation, and unmanned systems are working,” the General Staff noted.
Aviation, missile and artillery units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked five areas where Russian personnel were concentrated, two control points, one command and observation post, and two enemy air defense systems.
In the Kharkov direction, two military clashes continue in the Volchansk region. During the day, the total losses of Russians here amount to 105 people (irrecoverable and sanitary). One enemy tank, one infantry fighting vehicle, two artillery systems, eight vehicles and one special equipment were also destroyed.
In the Kupyansk direction, nine enemy attempts to break into the defensive lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were recorded. The repulse of two assaults continues in the areas of the settlements of Sinkovka and Berestovo.
In the Liman direction, another clash takes place near Ternov, and the total number of enemy assault operations has increased to 11.
In the Seversky direction, the enemy resorted to assault operations 14 times. The battle with Russian invaders continues near the village of Spornoye.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers are not abandoning attempts to improve their situation in the New microdistrict of the city of Chasov Yar. The fighting continues.
In the Toretsky direction, the Russian invaders became more active and began five assault operations at once - in the areas of the settlements of New York, North and South. The Ukrainian Defense Forces control the situation and are fighting back against the Russians.
The enemy is most active in the Pokrovsky direction. The number of military clashes since the beginning of the day has increased to 26. 12 attacks by Russians continue to be repelled, including in the areas of the settlements of Novoaleksandrovka, Evgenyevka, Novoselovka Pervaya and Sokol.
In the Kurakhovsky direction, the invaders have already made four assault attempts at the Krasnogorovka location. Two military clashes continue. In the Vremiv direction, Ukrainian soldiers are repelling the attack of the invaders in the Urozhainy area.
Border settlements in the Sumy region suffered new artillery attacks from Russian territory. Thus, the village of Turya was fired from the direction of Grafovka (RF), Volkovka and Khodyno - from Staraya Nikolaevka (RF), Sidorovka - from the direction of Popovka (RF).
In other areas, the situation remains without significant changes.
Let us recall that earlier soldiers of the Third Assault Brigade stated that the Russians threw tank regiments into battle in order to reach the administrative borders of the Lugansk region. The occupiers are attracting a significant amount of artillery and additional detachments from PMCs and special forces.
The leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is aware of the situation in the Lugansk region. The invaders receive an adequate response.
