America's worst-run city is revealed: and it's not New York or Chicago...
2024-06-19
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • San Francisco and nearby Oakland have ranked as the worst run cities in the US

  • Those seeking efficient managers should move to the Boise suburb of Nampa

#14  B,
I haven't filled out a Census form since before Jimmy Carter. Nobody has come for me yet.

#13  Imagine what would happen if you had a tech company in San Francisco and only hired locals. What kind of company would that be?

#11  Besoeker I didn't answer any of those questions, it's none of their business. I was threatened but nothing (so far) has happened to me. I also claimed I was a Martian on the form.

#8  This is the other end of the "magic dirt" theory curve.

#7  BART ought to add some decontamination stations. I would definitely recommend shoes with no tread to all visitors.

#6  /\ "Handwriting" appears to be on the wall today for this entire country. "June Teenth"...WTF ?

#5  Handwriting on the wall for SF in the early '70s. When they started adding "Mental Health Services Consumers" to the Mental Health Commission.

#4  My United States Census - "American Community Survey" and the number of bedrooms I have along with my VA percentage of disability, and number of laptops in the house.........will help our nearby cities recover.

Worthless communist bastids.

#3  Every time I go through Nampa, the amount of growth in new apartment buildings is staggering. The increase in traffic on existing infrastructure is causing some problems. Lots of money coming in and unrestrained growth. Obviously better run than the SF or Chicago upholstered cesspools but what’s the judging criteria? I’ll take small town Eagle. No buildings over 3 stories. One of the reasons I moved here 11 years ago.

Any city can only be as good as its population and demographics.

Just look at the population and demographics of SF & Oakland.
