[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Armed Forces are fighting heavy battles in the east and south of Ukraine.
The enemy is attacking in the area of eight settlements in the Pokrovsky direction. Enemy aircraft are active.
Since the beginning of the current day, 71 military clashes have occurred at the front, more than a third of them in the Pokrovsky direction. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in a report as of 16:00 on Thursday, June 13.
"The situation in the Pokrovsky direction is now the hottest. Since the beginning of the day, the invaders have already carried out 26 attack actions on the positions of our troops in the areas of Novoaleksandrovka, Kalinovoy, Novoselovka First, Evgenyevka, Novopokrovsky, Mezhovoy and Nevelsky. Enemy aviation is actively working. The defense forces are holding back the pressure and repelled 16 enemy assaults, 10 clashes are still ongoing,” the message says.
In the Kharkov direction, the enemy twice unsuccessfully attacked units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of Glubokoye and west of Tikhoy. The clash continues near Volchansk. This afternoon, the enemy launched five strikes with UABs on Volchansk, as well as eight NARs on Volchansky Khutors.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled two enemy attacks. The same number of clashes continue. In the Petropavlovka area, enemy aircraft struck with 11 unguided missiles, and the aggressor struck another seven unguided aircraft missiles in Tabaevka.
In the Liman direction, our soldiers repelled three assaults. Now the fighting continues near Grekovka and Nevsky.
Six enemy attempts to dislodge our units from their positions failed in the Kramatorsk direction. Two attacks are still ongoing near Novy and Andreevka.
In the Kurakhovsky direction, fighting continues near Krasnogorovka, Georgievka and Praskovievka. The total number of attacks here increased to 16. Our defenders successfully repelled 10 assault actions of the Russian invaders. Six more military clashes are ongoing.
In other areas, the situation has not undergone significant changes.
Let us remind you that during the day on June 12, the Russian army lost about 1000 soldiers. The Ukrainian Armed Forces burned dozens of armored vehicles and artillery systems.
