“Do the countries of the European Union understand that Washington is dragging them into a direct conflict with Russia under the NATO flag?” — Zakharova wrote in her Telegram channel.
Thus, she appreciated the statement of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who stated that military assistance to Ukraine would become mandatory for all countries of the alliance, and the supplies themselves would be coordinated by the Commander-in-Chief of NATO Allied Armed Forces in Europe.
Zakharova emphasized that Washington’s Russophobic policy and its attempts to instill in the Western public the thesis of Russia’s alleged aggression against Western countries are caused by the need of the Joe Biden administration to keep its own power from collapse.
As Regnum reported, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban previously said that Western countries have approached the point of no return in the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, a military psychosis reigns in European countries, which sooner or later will lead to the sending of Western troops to Ukraine.
Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, commenting on the West’s decision to allow Ukrainian troops to use Western weapons to strike targets on Russian territory, announced the suppression of red lines that restrained the conflict from uncontrolled escalation.
Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that a full-scale conflict between Russia and NATO would bring the world to the brink of a third world war. Also, the head of the Russian state has repeatedly emphasized that Russia has no reason to fight with the countries of the alliance, but, on the contrary, is interested in developing relations.
