Former Obama official [Clapper] gives one-word answer when asked if he would retract attack over Hunter Biden laptop |
2024-06-09 |
James Clapper, the former director of national intelligence in the Obama administration, signed the heavily scrutinized letter just weeks before the 2020 presidential election, claiming the laptop had "all the earmarks" of a Russian effort to influence the vote. "No," he simply said when asked by Fox News Digital if he regretted signing it despite the laptop now being used by prosecutors arguing Hunter committed a federal gun crime. Despite claims from former officials that the laptop had the hallmarks of Russian disinformation, Fox News Digital reported that federal investigators with the Department of Justice knew in December 2019 that Hunter Biden’s laptop was "not manipulated in any way" and contained "reliable evidence." 5 takes on the Hunter Biden laptop that have aged poorly [FoxNews]

#5 I once had a drill sargeant like Clapper. He said he had only ever been wrong one time. He thought he had made a mistake. It turned out he was right after all. But he had thought he was wrong. |

#2 Clapper and company are attempting to provide cover for an asset who will likely turn on them if not pardoned. It all certainly seemed like a good idea at the time. Barry Soetoro worked for decades. What could possibly go wrong ? |
