Judge Juan Merchan has alerted Trump’s attorneys to a Facebook post by a supposed cousin of a Trump juror who spilled the beans that he had inside info that Trump was about to be convicted "My cousin is a juror and says Trump is getting convicted. Thank you folks for all your hard work!" |

| #5 Au contraire my friends, this is the escape plan for the entire court case. I agree with NoMo. This is a get-out-of-jail card for the courts. You don't need to be a sophisticated legal mind to see this would eventually be overturned by a higher court. Now, they can claim Trump was convicted of umpteen felonies but the case was dismissed on a mere "technicality". It is an excellent face-saving move that keeps the story in the news, although they may come to regret that aspect as voters keep wandering off the plantation. |

| #4 Au contraire my friends, this is the escape plan for the entire court case. By declaring a mistrial, they escape having to jail Trump. They have seen with devastating clarity that the entire case has been a disastrous miscalculation, boosting Trumps poll number, and the contributions, and making the Outlaw/underdog theme appealing to huge numbers of independents. By declaring a mistrial, they get to end the wall-to-wall free media coverage, avoid the catastrophic mistake of sentencing Trump to something that will look like election interference, and increase further his dominant lead over their pathetic candidate, and yet be able to keep the "convicted felon" label for MSM repetition ad nauseum! |
