“Negotiations with Russia are unrealistic <...> a peace agreement will become a trap,” the head of the Kiev regime said in an interview with the newspaper.
Zelensky also said that the United States is postponing the use of Western weapons against targets in Russia. He pointed out the White House's ambiguity, noting that it had cost lives. The head of the Kyiv regime in this regard called on the United States to give Ukraine the opportunity to use long-range weapons to hit a target deep in Russian territory.
As Regnum reported, the Russian side has repeatedly stated its readiness for negotiations on Ukraine. At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the country is ready for negotiations not based on some wishes, but on the realities that have developed.
The Kremlin and the Foreign Ministry noted that Russia is ready for a peaceful resolution of the situation in Ukraine, subject to the fulfillment of all the requirements set before the start of the SVO.
After May 20, in accordance with Article 103 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the head of the Kiev regime is not the legitimate leader of the republic. In this regard, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova stated that the Russian side considers Zelensky as the leader of the Kiev regime.
