2024-06-01
[Breitbart] Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) is finally pulling the trigger. The West Virginia senator announced Friday he will leave the Democrat party, a long-speculated move for the retiring senator.

“My commitment to do everything I can to bring our country together has led me to register as an independent with no party affiliation,” Manchin posted on X:

#6  The Maverick Move to Independent is pure theater. It will be followed by several meaningless little departures from the dem playbook, with huge press notice, to highlight his new-found integrity and centrism. All it actually does is once again increase the pricetag, the amount of graft required for the dems to buy his votes when really needed.

#5  How old is Manchin at this point? I say his next move is a rocking chair.

#4  He will still caucus with the Dems. It is a meaningless gesture done by an irrelevant has been. Faced with a fork in the road, he decided to take a dump and read the paper.

#3  That makes it one less Donk in calculating who is president pro tempore of the Senate. So its not 50/50, or is it really.

#1  If you look at the last 2 Presidential election cycles (2020 & 2024) the candidate who campaigns less is leading. Biden sits in the basement and Trump sits in court..

Manchin/Romney/Hogan… think the middle of the political spectrum is so wide open that they can jump on the ballot when and if either or both… Biden/Trump fall off the ballot for November.
