“Captain Obvious,” RT quotes Zakharova as saying about Washington’s involvement in the development of the so-called peace formula of the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.
As Regnum reported, on May 29, at a briefing, Kirby answered positively to the question whether the White House contributed to Zelensky’s “peace formula.”
The so-called peace conference, at which the situation in Ukraine will be considered, will be held in June in Switzerland. Bern, at the request of Kyiv, invited more than 160 delegations.
The head of the Kiev regime announced on May 29 that Russia would subsequently receive the documents developed at the conference. At the same time, Zelensky did not name who exactly or which organizations or countries will hand over the documents of the Swiss conference to Russia.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called the event an attempt to formulate an ultimatum for Russia. The diplomat added that Russia will not participate in this conference and any other negotiations on Ukraine at which the “Zelensky formula” will be promoted.
The head of the Strategic Group Sofia analytical center, Andrei Ermolaev, said that Zelensky’s decision to bring up only three points from his so-called peace formula for discussion at the conference in Switzerland will deprive the upcoming meeting of any significance. In his opinion, the summit in Switzerland is necessary for Kiev in order, first of all, to warm up the West’s fading interest in the conflict in Ukraine.
According to him, the assumption of cooling interest was confirmed by the refusals of the leaders of a number of states, including US President Joe Biden, to attend the event. The so-called peace formula will no longer be taken seriously by Kyiv’s Western allies, which is why the West will prefer to negotiate a settlement to the conflict with Russia without the participation of Ukraine, the analyst added.
