2024-04-21
Except for chemical weapons and nuclear bomb development, is Iraq known for weapons manufacturing, or are they as inshallah with that as with so much else?
[Rudaw] Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani
on Tuesday received a delegation from General Dynamics at his residence in Washington, focusing on cooperation with the American company to rebuild Iraq’s military capabilities, according to a statement from Sudani’s office.

"The meeting focused on cooperation with the company as part of the government's efforts to rebuild Iraq's military capabilities, specifically in providing tanks and armored vehicles," read the statement.

"Discussions also covered collaboration on establishing a major workshop for the maintenance and upgrading of tanks to suit the Iraqi terrain and climate conditions. Additionally, an agreement was reached to launch a series of initiatives with General Dynamics, as part of the government's plans to develop and support the military institution with various types of modern weapons," it added.
