9-year-old boy tries to drive himself to school, predictable results
2024-03-29
[UNDEFINED] A 9-year-old California boy stole his mother’s car and attempted to drive it to school — but instead led an erratic police chase that ended with the child crashing into a cop cruiser.
I think I seen dis movie...
An officer first spotted a gray Volkswagen sedan strangely stopped in the middle of an intersection in Oroville at around 9:20 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The officer instructed the driver to move the car, but the vehicle sped off and took police on a "short and erratic chase that ended in a dirt parking lot" just blocks away from Plumas Avenue Elementary School, CHP said.

#5  When I was a kid, you had no hope of catching the bus if you were late. Now it stops at every driveway and you can catch up even if it's two blocks ahead of you.

#4  Based on the time (9:20 a.m.) the cop first spotted the car, my guess is that the kid either missed the school bus or the mother didn't care enough to make sure the kid made it to school on time.
