During the day, the defense forces repelled 27 attacks by Russian invaders in the Novopavlovsk direction.
During the day, 64 military clashes were recorded at the front. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced this in an evening report on Saturday, March 23.
In total, Russian troops carried out six missile and 70 air strikes, and carried out 72 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian invaders did not conduct offensive (assault) actions. In the Liman direction, soldiers repulsed six enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Belogorovka in the Luhansk region and Terny, Yampolevka, Razdolevka, Veseloye in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defenses.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repelled 11 attacks by the occupiers in the areas of the settlements of Klishchievka, Bogdanovka, Ivanovskoye, Donetsk region. In the Avdeevsky direction, defenders repulsed nine enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Berdichi, Tonenkoye, Pervomaiskoye, Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the Defense Forces continue to restrain the Russians in the areas of the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Georgievka, Novomikhailovka, Konstantinovka and Urozhaynoye, where the invaders, with the support of aviation, tried 27 times to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian troops.
In the Orekhovsky direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces three times in the area of ​​the settlement of Robotino, Zaporozhye region. In the Kherson direction, the enemy made one unsuccessful attack on the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area of ​​​​the village of Krynki, Kherson region.
During the day, Defense Forces aircraft carried out strikes on eight areas where Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated.
Units of the missile forces inflicted defeat on the area where personnel were concentrated, four points of inflammation, an air defense facility, an artillery weapon and an enemy radar station.
