[ColonelCassad] The first part of the operation to defeat the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Orlovka from RT military correspondent Andrei Filatov @FilatovCorr.
After the Ukrainian Armed Forces units were squeezed out of Avdeevka, the 114th brigade of the Russian Armed Forces and neighboring units built on their success, moving forward on the shoulders of the retreating Ukrainian military, knocking the enemy out of Lastochkina, and moved further towards Orlovka.
Some of the VSEushniks, squeezed out from there, took refuge in the forest just 300 meters from the village. To destroy them and cut a corridor to Orlovka, two groups of the 114th brigade of the Russian Armed Forces advanced. The first, using infantry fighting vehicles, was supposed to approach the occupied positions and divert enemy forces and means to themselves.
At this time, the second group of attack aircraft, under the cover of smoke, was able to secretly enter the trenches of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and impose a battle.
After a few minutes of battle, the VSEushniks who had retreated from Lastochkino, defending the approaches to Orlovka, realized that the mousetrap had begun to slam shut, and began to flee.
