The 'Weimar Triangle' meeting between the French and German leaders and Poland's new Prime Minister Donald Tusk is designed to be a show of unity, but comes at a time when Franco-German tensions over the war are rising. With Ukraine in desperate need of more ammunition, and resistance from Western allies including Germany and the US to supply it, experts say that Macron is presenting himself as a key figure sounding the alarm bells. |
