The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 20 enemy attacks near Avdiivka
During the day, Defense Forces aircraft carried out strikes on 11 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repulsed 20 enemy attacks, in the Novopavlovsk direction the enemy tried to break through the defense 19 times. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced this in an evening report on Thursday, March 7.
During the day, 70 military clashes took place at the front. In total, Russian troops carried out three missile and 43 air strikes, and carried out 46 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy twice attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the area of ​​the village of Sinkovka, Kharkov region.
In the Liman direction, soldiers repulsed seven enemy attacks in the areas of Belogorovka settlements, Lugansk region; Terny, Razdolevka, Donetsk region, where the Russians tried to break through the defense.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repelled five attacks by the invaders in the areas of the settlements of Andreevka and Klishchievka, Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to improve its tactical position.
In the Avdeevsky direction, defenders repulsed 20 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Berdich, Tonenkoye, Orlovka, Pervomaiskoye, Nevelskoye in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, defense forces continue to restrain Russian invaders in the areas of Georgievka, Pobeda, Krasnogorovka, Novomikhailovka of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defense 19 times.
In the Orekhovsky direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations. In the Kherson direction, the enemy does not abandon his intention to dislodge Ukrainian units from their bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper. So, within 24 hours, the Russians carried out one unsuccessful assault.
