![]() Facebook, Instagram outages reported worldwide, Meta says it’s ‘working on’ the issue [IsraelTimes] Users of Meta’s Facebook, Instagram, Threads and Messenger platforms are experiencing login issues in what appears to be a widespread outage. Internet traffic observer Down Detector is reporting vast outages on several Meta platforms Tuesday. The problems are being reported across the world, suggesting that the outage could be global. London-based internet monitoring firm Netblocks says on X that four Meta platforms — Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and Threads — were "currently experiencing outages related to login sessions in multiple countries." But the firm, which advocates for internet freedom, said there was no sign of "country-level internet disruptions or filtering," which are typically imposed by governments. Andy Stone, Meta’s head of communications, acknowledges the issues on X, formerly known as Twitter, and says the company is "working on this now." |

#9 Not that I care about Meta's problems but it would be interesting, simply from a technical standpoint, to know the cause and what they're doing about it. |

#8 Facebook, Messenger and Instagram are back online following a 1.5hr outage that left users worldwide unable to access Meta's social media platforms - as experts say 'a cyberattack can never be fully ruled out' The AT&T trend I suppose. System too complex for the IT staffers. |
