An academic, one member of that class of mostly leftist elites in America’s universities who are more than happy to tell others what to think and how to live, now claims it is rural white people who are the real threat to the nation.

The city dewellers might want to remember their electrical power is generated in and flows thru rural areas. Their Gas and food comes from or thru rural areas. Without the rurals they'd freeze, burn and starve.

Take a look at what we do to cities when it's time to get rough.....
Nothing beats the Mongolian approach. Visualize Baghdad in ruins with nearby mountains of severed human heads rotting away for months or years on end. The smell alone would have been enough to gag maggots. The optics of bombing aftermaths are nothing like that.

Deliverance pissed off a lot of Georgians and especially those in Northeastern Ga Rabun County.

The locals I met there, were good country folk and far from RACIST.

The incoming "Half-backs" on the other hands seem to better fit the stereotype portrayed in the movie.
