Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking today with a message to the Federal Assembly, mentioned in a positive light the role of representatives of different religions in Russian society. “Our soldiers and officers - Christians and Muslims, Buddhists and followers of Judaism, representatives of different ethnic groups, cultures, regions - in fact, have proven better than a thousand words that the centuries-old cohesion and unity of the people of Russia is a colossal, all-conquering force. All together, shoulder to shoulder “They fight side by side for one common Motherland,” Putin said in his speech, a transcript of which was published on the Kremlin website.
Ramzan Kadyrov cited this quote with a denomination, namely by removing the mention of followers of Judaism. “Our soldiers and officers - Christians and Muslims, Buddhists [...] - have proven that the centuries-old cohesion and unity of Russia is a colossal, all-conquering force,” Putin’s words are quoted as such in the Telegram channel of the head of Chechnya.
