[Korrespondent] In the Avdievka direction alone, Ukrainian defenders repulsed 20 enemy attacks in one day.
During the day, 79 clashes occurred at the front. Russian invaders continue to attack most intensively in the Avdeevsky direction. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced this in an evening report on Wednesday, February 28.
In total, Russian troops carried out five missile and 91 air strikes, and carried out 102 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.
In the Kupyansky direction, the Defense Forces repelled one enemy attack in the area of ​​​​the settlement of Tabaevka, where the invaders tried to dislodge the Ukrainian Armed Forces from their positions.
In the Liman direction, soldiers repelled six enemy attacks in the area of ​​the settlements of Terny, Yampolevka in the Donetsk region and Belogorovka in the Lugansk region, where the Russians tried to break through the defense.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repelled eight enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Ivanovskoe and Kleshchievka, Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to improve its tactical position.
In the Avdeevsky direction, defenders repelled 20 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Berdychi, Orlovka, Tonenkoye, Pervomaiskoye, Nevelskoye in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back Russian troops in the areas of Krasnogorovka, Georgievka, Novomikhailovka and Urozhaynoye of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defense 25 times.
In the Orekhovsky direction, the Defense Forces repelled one enemy attack in the area east of Rabotino, Zaporozhye region.
In the Kherson direction, the Russians do not abandon their intention to dislodge Ukrainian units from their bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper. So, within 24 hours, three assault attempts were made.
During the day, Defense Forces aircraft carried out strikes on seven areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
The missile force units defeated a control point, a personnel concentration area, weapons and military equipment, four artillery weapons, an air defense system, an electronic warfare station, and one other important enemy target.
Let us remind you that over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces liquidated 1,060 Russian invaders. The total losses of the Russian army have already amounted to about 412,610 soldiers.
