Expect the CIA to dispose of Zelensky, if the coup takes place.
[Regnum] In the spring, an attempt may be made to overthrow the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, whose legitimacy will be called into question, according to a statement by the intelligence committee published on the Telegram channel of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
“The Maidan-3 special operation will reach its culmination in March–May 2024,” the statement said.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, in the coming weeks there will be attempts to incite conflicts both within Ukraine and elsewhere in the world, and Zelensky’s legitimacy after May 20 may be called into question. The GUR claims that they plan to “stir up” the situation in Ukraine by the first half of June and then inflict a military defeat on Kyiv in the east of the country.
Ukrainian intelligence claims that Russian intelligence services are planning to spread panic, despondency, incite conflict between civilians and military, and also antagonize Kyiv with its allies. According to the State Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, for this purpose Moscow will organize protests through its agents of influence in Ukraine and around the world.
As Regnum reported, Zelensky’s office, meanwhile, prepared an appeal to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine (CCU) to clarify the issue of the legitimacy of his tenure as head of state after May 20. According to the publication Zerkalo Nedeli, the Constitutional Court may be asked two questions: is it possible to hold presidential elections during hostilities and whether Zelensky remains a legitimate head of state after May 20.
Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov previously clarified that Zelensky would lose legitimacy after May 21, when his term of office ends. The former head of government called this position key for everyone fighting the Kyiv regime.
According to former Verkhovna Rada deputy, Doctor of Law Valery Karpuntsov, the Ukrainian constitution does not contain a rule that allows for the cancellation of presidential elections, so Zelensky faces criminal penalties for usurpation of power if he does not resign after the expiration of his powers.
At the same time, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov in January announced Zelensky’s difficult situation. He noted that many in Ukraine are dissatisfied with such leadership, a turbulent situation is brewing, and at the same time, the Western allies have stopped funding Kyiv.
