[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Hundreds of protesters entered the Pennsylvania Capitol building to demand the state divest $56 million from Israel before up to 200 were arrested for failing to disperse.

The protestors descended on the Capitol on Monday and marched inside the main rotunda wearing masks and black t-shirts

emblazoned with the words 'Divest from Genocide'.

Holding banners and leading chants, they blocked the main staircase until state police arrived and told them they needed to 'leave now or get arrested'.

told local news outlet, WGAL, that 186 protesters were arrested or received citations, many of them for failure to disperse.

Writing on Facebook, Jewish Voice for Peace, said: 'Over 200 PA residents from across the state disrupt the first day of session of the PA Senate calling for the state to DIVEST the $56 million in Israeli Bonds that the state treasury purchased.'

The protest came after Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity announced in October that her department was investing $20 million more in Israeli bonds - bringing the total held by the state to $56 million.

She said at the time: 'Israel is our greatest ally in the Middle East, and I will always stand with them.

'Israel bonds are a smart, dependable investment with a proven track record – and it’s especially important to show our support at a time when the people of Israel are facing horrific terrorism.'

She added after the rally on Monday: 'Put simply: If Hamas stopped fighting today, there would be no more war.

'If Israel stopped fighting today, there would be no more Israel.'

After the protest was over, Jewish Voice for Peace wrote: 'This money directly enables the Israeli military and government to commit genocide of Palestinians and oppress Palestinians by upholding a brutal, separate-and-unequal apartheid system.

'Pennsylvanians want our government to invest in our communities–not genocide and war.

'While hundreds were inside the state capital in Harrisburg, a crowd of over 200 additional PA residents, led by Muslim, Arab, and Palestinian community and faith leaders, demonstrated outside of the capitol building.'

#3  I have a cure for failure to disperse: Spray 'em with enough DDT to kill all the parasites they're hosting.
