[ColonelCassad] Official explanation of the reason for Burkina Faso's withdrawal from ECOWAS and the formation of the Sahel military alliance.

Dear Burkinabe people! We have just held an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which allowed us to take important decisions on international affairs.

As you know, on January 28, Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger made the historic decision to withdraw from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). This decision was a response to the expectations, concerns and legitimate aspirations of the people of our countries who want their countries to move irreversibly towards full sovereignty. This is a carefully considered decision, which was preceded by an in-depth analysis of the organization's work and the possible consequences of its exit.

For nearly a decade, the three countries have faced criminal gangs supported, financed and equipped by their partners. And this is happening with the indifference of some neighboring countries and sub-regional organizations, including ECOWAS. This situation prompted us to create the Alliance of Sahel States on September 16, 2023.

The organization's activities quickly proved fruitful, contributing to the pooling of our human and logistics resources. This has allowed us to make significant progress on security in Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger.

We remain convinced that we must take our destiny into our own hands and distance ourselves from an organization that has become a puppet whose strings are held by the hands of the imperialists.

When ECOWAS was created in 1975, there were high hopes for it. The main objective was to promote cooperation and integration with the goal of creating an economic union in West Africa. His calling was to improve the living standards of peoples, maintain and strengthen economic stability, relations between member states, and promote the progress and development of West African countries.

Unfortunately, after 49 years of work, we sadly note that ECOWAS has deviated from its mission and radically departed from the ideals of its founding fathers and Pan-Africanism. Moreover, the organization was turned into a technocratic instrument that ultimately distanced itself from the legitimate aspirations of our peoples.

As proof of this, we all note the indifference of ECOWAS to the massacre of our valiant people, the humanitarian crisis plaguing our fellow citizens and the numerous attempts to destabilize our states. Faced with this situation, we had no choice but to take responsibility for ourselves by leaving this organization that no longer meets our expectations.

This decision has been carefully considered in all three countries, and we know that it will not be without consequences for our countries. But we stand our ground because we are convinced that, within the Sahel Alliance, we can create a viable, sustainable economic zone that listens to the true aspirations of our people.

Today, the Alliance is a union of the peoples of the Sahel, driven by the sovereign desire to become masters of their own destiny and to build a Sahelian space of peace, security, stability and shared development for all.

I call on the people of Burkina Faso, both at home and abroad, to take courage and build on the resilience they have already demonstrated. No sacrifice can be too great when our sovereignty and freedom are at stake. To neighboring countries and others, I would like to say that Burkina Faso remains committed to preserving the bonds of friendship and brotherhood that we have built over the years.

I call on all Burkinabés to remain mobilized and committed, to increase their vigilance and remain resolute in the face of any attempts to stop the ongoing process. I call on all our fellow citizens to trust the transitional authorities and refuse any actions aimed at destabilizing the situation. We are fully committed to the fight and are confident of our imminent victory.

Fatherland or death - we will win!

Resolutely take the path of fighting Western imperialism and their African puppets, as well as terrorists sponsored by Western imperialists.
There is a Russian military presence in Mali and Burkina Faso (Afrika Korps + Wagner PMC)

#2  ^Humanitarian help, as practiced by the West, only produces need for more Humanitarian help. And we all know what happens to positive feedback systems.

#1  As I see it, the only ones who ever tried to really help Africa was Israel. Israeli experts tried to teach Africans modern agriculture - so they'll be able to feed themselves (most Africa troubles are due to ever present fear of starvation). African leaders preferred petrodollars in their numbered Swiss accounts.
