But we stand our ground because we are convinced that, within the Sahel Alliance, we can create a viable, sustainable economic zone that listens to the true aspirations of our people. Today, the Alliance is a union of the peoples of the Sahel, driven by the sovereign desire to become masters of their own destiny and to build a Sahelian space of peace, security, stability and shared development for all.
