| #5 I have a familial connection and affection for the USSS, my father was on the primary Presidential Detail for FDR for the entire War, and with Truman until 1946 when he transferred to State. He told me that they had well rehearsed awareness of the privacy needs of the President, and went to great lengths to provide the confidence in that privacy would be absolute. The railroad travel and scheduling pauses in New Jersey, with the entire detail dismounting the Presidential car during visitations by certain individual for example. | #4 I have concerns for the integrity of the Secret Service with respect to the kids issue. If they are turning a blind eye to that stuff, we have charges against officers that need to be addressed in the other side of this mess. We can’t have an Arkansas State Police on the national level. |
