[Regnum] On Monday, December 25, the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed two control points and warehouses of militants who were firing at Syrian government troops in the Syrian province of Idlib. This was announced on Tuesday by the deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties, Vadim Kulit.
“The Russian Aerospace Forces carried out air strikes in the province of Idlib against targets of illegal armed groups involved in provocative attacks on the positions of Syrian government troops,” he said.
According to him, as a result of the strikes, the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed two command posts and several warehouses of militants’ materiel.
Vadim Kulit noted that over the past 24 hours, 15 attacks on the positions of Syrian government troops by the terrorist groups “Islamic Party of Turkestan” and “Jabhat al-Nusra” (organizations whose activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation) were recorded in the region. As a result of fire from the militants, one soldier was killed and another was injured.
As Regnum reported , on November 12, Vadim Kulit reported that Russian aircraft hit militant targets in Idlib province. As a result of the attack, underground shelters and terrorist training camps were destroyed.
