[BLAZE] A man allegedly attacked a Florida homeowner's wife in front of her home and then tried to break into another home after being shot by the victim's husband, according to police and eye witness accounts from neighbors.The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a call about a burglary at a residence on Bath Club Boulevard North in North Redington Beach around 3:23 a.m. on Wednesday morning. They found a man with a gunshot wound in the middle of the street and he was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injures.
Police did not release additional information about the shooting or alleged home invasion, but neighbors told WFLA-TV that the man had been bleeding profusely after being shot by a homeowner in the neighborhood.
"I heard the screaming and the yelling, and then I heard the gunshot," John Paul McCarthy said. "I couldn’t distinguish the glass breaking and all that, it was just commotion."
