[Regnum] Residents in the north of the Irkutsk region were warned about the onset of abnormal frosts - the temperature is predicted to drop to minus 50 degrees. Changes in the weather were reported to the Regional Emergency Situations Ministry.
“On December 7–11, severe frosts are expected with minimum air temperatures of minus 40, minus 45°, in the northern and Upper Lena regions up to minus 50°,” rescuers warned, warning against fires due to violations of safety rules when heating homes.
On December 8–12, abnormally cold weather is expected in Irkutsk. The average daily air temperature will drop 11–17 degrees below the climate norm.

Now the height of snowdrifts in Moscow reaches 37 cm, and this is a record. The forecaster explained that such snowdrifts can melt if +10 °C is recorded in the capital for eight days in a row, and this does not happen at this time of year.
In the Omsk region, the abnormal temperature is expected to remain below the climate norm until the end of the week.
The thermometer will drop to minus 40 degrees on December 8. Abnormally low temperatures will be accompanied by snow, ice, strong winds and blizzards.
