Trump Absolutely DESTROYS Lawless NYC Judge Engoron After Case Collapses | ||
2023-10-29 | ||
[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] President Trump used his Constitutional right to Free Speech on Friday to go off on the crooked Judge Arthur Engoron, New York State Attorney General Letitia James for continuing this lawfare suit against President Trump and his family after the star witness testified this week that there is zero evidence that President Trump misrepresented the value of his assets to gain business loans for his company.
![]() and his business empire by giggling to the cameras. The case never should have been filed. This is lawfare at its worst. The prosecution even had the gall to suggest that Mar-a-Lago, one of the most expensive properties in the world, was only worth $18 million. This judge and this lawsuit is a sick joke. It appears the only criminal activity in the case was by Letitia James after she misrepresented the numbers and filed an outrageously dishonest suit against Trump and his business empire with no evidence. Trump went off on Truth Social on Friday, saying the judge "HAS GONE CRAZY IN HIS HATRED OF "TRUMP." President Donald Trump: The Judge in the New York State A.G. case refuses to accept the overturning of his decisions by the Appeals Court. This is a first in the history of the State! HE HAS GONE CRAZY IN HIS HATRED OF "TRUMP." Also, their "STAR" witness just admitted his statements were all a big lie. He broke down in court. The Radical Left Judge said he doesn’t care. He is trying to protect RACIST A.G. Letitia James, who has no case, lost the appeal, but has a tyrannical and unhinged Trump Hating Judge. She campaigned for A.G. on, "I Will Get Trump," long before she knew anything about me. This is Judicial Misconduct, coupled with Prosecutorial Misconduct, and somebody from the State of New York must step in and stop this Complete & Total Miscarriage of Justice! #27 I find it interesting the the aggrieved party in this suit is not the bank, as one might assume. Apparently, they merrily went along with the deal and in no way feel defrauded. Instead the State of New York is quibbling over an estimated number on a form. I bet that "no ex post facto laws" thing in the Constitution is just killing them. |

#26 That's cute, EC. If the bank's didn't self-evaluate and agree, it's all bullshit, no matter what you site? Were the loans paid? Yes. |

#25 As part of the New York civil investigation of the Trump Organization a New York court has found that from 2011 to 2021 Mar-a-Lago has been assessed by Palm Beach County as having a value from $18 million to $27.6 million, while at the same time Trump's financial statements has valued it from $427 million to $627 million as part of an alleged scheme to both lower insurance premiums and to get favorable loan terms. In contrast, leading area real estate experts have estimated the property could be worth as much as $1 billion. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mar-a-Lago The more you pay, the more it's worth (Don McLean) |

#24 This may not be fraud either. But tell me it doesn't smell bad. Go on, tell me... |

#21 Dank u well, Besoeker. Actually if Deutsche Bank KNEW that Trump's appraisals were not realistic but didn't verify, there's no fraud. |

#19 "similar properties to establish a more or less realistic value." Sorry, mobile phone. |

#18 Frank G, that's indeed a very American speciality. In Germany prosecutors are not elected by the people and therefore don't campaign. To clarify: Appraisals of high value real estate is notoriously difficult. If I want to put down a modest apartment as a collateral, this would be quite easy, as there are enough sales of similar properies to establish are more or less realistic value. An outstanding posh mansion in the heart of Munich? Much more difficult. Evaluations may differ dramatically, because you may not have sales to campare it with. But if I send my bank an evaluation made by a real estate agent who has never seen the property, and the evaluation says the property is three times bigger than it actually is... that would be a problem. Trump's case is probably even more complicated because Deutsche Bank wanted to do business with him and might have known that Trump's statements had to be taken with more than a grain of salt. Due diligence and all that. I haven't studied the details of this case, so I won't judge. |

#17 Is it common, EC that Pols campaigning as Prosecutors would declare that, if elected, they would pursue a political business organization? That alone, should have disallowed this travesty |

#16 From a Fortune article "Donald Trump’s corporate executives once boosted the estimated worth of his Trump Tower penthouse by $20 million partly because of the value of his celebrity, according to trial testimony Thursday. Another $100 million hike in the estimate was based on a single email from a real estate broker, who hadn’t commissioned an appraisal, didn’t inspect the triplex and was told it was three times its actual size. [...] But McConney’s testimony came with evidence that the documents were integral to some of Trump’s loan deals. In letters shown in the court, McConney told a bank that he was providing Trump’s 2015 and 2016 financial statements as required under the conditions of a loan for his Seven Springs estate north of New York City. [...] McConney reasoned that there was no “right way” to determine valuations and that it was appropriate to calculate the value of Trump’s apartment based on asking prices instead of sales prices as appraisals do. https://fortune.com/2023/10/06/donald-trump-organization-corporate-controller-court-boosted-value-tower-penthouse-20m-celebrity/ |

#14 "Assessed value " has no bearing on "market value". That is Real Estate 101. Anyone attempting to argue to the contrary is turning a blind eye to the basics. |

#12 "He has to be guilty because I want him to be" is a lame argument. |

#11 ^ True, but irrelevant in this matter. As I understand, the issue is the valuation of the collateral properties, not the square footage. Corrections welcome. |
Posted by: SteveS 2023-10-29 15:59 |
#10 Valuation is a tricky issue. But when you say your apartment has 30,000 square feet, when it actually has 10,996 square feet, you're in trouble. |

#9 EC, by that standard every home owner in America is guilty of felony fraud. They used the valuation for property taxes vs. the loan estimated value to show the fraud. My home, for example is valued at $400k on the market, yet its tax value is $230k. If I get a loan for the 400, I would be in the same boat as Trump. In America, this is how homes, large and small are bought or financed, by market value, not tax value. |

#7 I don't know what the law says in NYC. § Section 265b of the German Criminal Code criminalizes certain acts of deception in connection with certain loan applications. In this context, the lender must have been deceived about the borrower's financial circumstances when a loan application was made. Three types of conduct qualify as deception: The credit fraudster makes false statements in a credit application. He or she submits incorrect or incomplete documentation. The deceiver fails to report a deterioration in the financial circumstances. It doesn't matter whether you actually fully paid back your loan. The fraud could still be prosecuted. |

#6 That was my question from Day One: Who exactly did Trump defraud? And why did none of the people that he "defrauded" bring any action against him? |

#4 He is challenging the judge. I love it. The judge fined him. Trump immediately called him out. The judge is either beat by Trump or the judge will have to jail him for contempt. Nice play... |

#3 After 2024 we will need to clarify the legal status of past office holders. There needs to be some accountability for guys like Fauci and Biden for turning their offices into ATMs. There needs to also be some protection for office holders against every prosecutor in the country launching rogue political cases. Our Legislative branch is broken, so I don’t see an easy fix. A Constitutional Convention featuring AOC, ANTIFA and Dan Crenshaw seems like a bad idea. |
