| #5 FWIW ... outside of the assault itself, I suspect that the greatest damage here might come from the comments of many/most Chicagoans. They would say something like: "He did something to deserve the beating. Wonder what it was?" They would tacitly approve of the vigilantism and violence. And of course, they would assume the White man to be guilty of some crime against the Black men. And that is why we have the City that we do right now. |
