Mobilised Russians who have been sent to Ukraine have only survived, on average, for 4.5 months before being killed
2023-09-22
[X: 17 part thread] A new analysis has found that mobilised Russians who have been sent to Ukraine have only survived, on average, for 4.5 months before being killed. One in five of the mobilised has not survived longer than eight weeks.

At least 130 died within the first month of mobilisation, with some being killed just days after arriving in Ukraine. 20% were killed within two months, with the average mobik dying within 4.5 months. 0.2% lasted 11 months before they were killed.
These are the mobilized. Not included are Wagner convicts and Storm Z, whose life spans are measured in days or weeks.

#7  Re WW2 casualties...

Were Commonwealth lives so ill-spent?
"Australia: Point five eight percent,
Far less than the gammon
Back home."
"But that famine
In West Bengal... surely?"
Says Wiki, demurely,
"All Eenjah: Point five eight percent."

#6  So, tanks engaged in Vietnam lasted 6 minutes.
Why does it matter? Critical mass?
This seems to be a war of occupation.
"I have it!"
"No we have it!"
"You dropped the ball."
"It was a recovered fumble!"

Kinda missing the underlying motivation and goals.

#5  But that's old news and a long standing Russian practice.

Not just the Russian, up through WW2 the Brits practiced that with their commonwealth.

#3  Cherry Picked Data as the study only reviewed 3000 russian deaths.

It's called sampling. The Russians hide the vast majority of their war dead, even from the dead soldiers' families.

If you had bothered to read the thread, three things stick out:
1. The high death rate upon entering Ukraine. That goes with the lack of training for the mobiks as well being used for cannon fodder attacks, and continue to be used this way, instead of the rear jobs they were promised.

2. The dead skew to 30+ years of age. It means the young are better informed and dodging the war like it was the plague. The older are more susceptible to Kremlin propaganda or feel it is their duty. As a consequence, Russia is losing their most productive workers. Even experienced defense production workers are mobilized. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

3. Russian minorities (Asians and Muslims) are suffering disproportionate casualties. But that's old news and a long standing Russian practice.

#2  If there is anything Business Insider can get wrong about eastern Europe, they are sure as hell going to treat it as the Gospel truth.

Cherry Picked Data as the study only reviewed 3000 russian deaths. What's not contrasted is those who are deployed and dont die. How many are they, and what is their life expectancy?
