"Indiscriminate artillery bombardment and dronezaps conducted by the Sudanese army targeted two RSF positions in the Salheen Um Badda area. At least 19 lives were lost as a result of the imprecise targeting of RSF positions," read a statement by the Resistance® Committees of Um Badda District 21.

Over the past two weeks, several neighbourhoods in the Um Badda area have endured mutual bombardments between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, causing civilian casualties and injuries. The paramilitary forces are accused of forcibly displacing area residents, seizing their homes, and converting them into military installations.

Furthermore, fresh armed festivities erupted between the two opposing forces near the Armored Corps, where a wide array of weaponry was deployed.

A military insider, speaking to Sudan Tribune, disclosed that the armed forces retaliated against an attack launched by the RSF, targeting the Armored Corps and inflicting substantial casualties in terms of lives and military equipment.

Additionally, an RSF spokesperson announced that they had successfully captured four tanks and several fully-equipped combat vehicles from the army in the Armored Corps surrounding the al-Shajara area south of Khartoum
