2023-09-03
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • David Frankens, of Lufkin, East Texas, has sparked fury among local ranchers after he sold swathes of land to Sun Guangxin, a former Chinese military captain
    “former”
  • Local realtors claim Frankens made 'millions of dollars' in profit from the trades, in which he would buy the land before selling it on to Sun within the same day

  • The Texan businessman has since been accused by one of his former ranch managers of cornering him in his office and punching him in the head

  • Sun bought more than 130,000 acres of farmland for an estimated $110million between 2016 and 2018

#2  As with any major life decision, Frankens said he consults his pastor, his religious advisor, and brings him along to important business meetings. “I am a man of faith. My heart is to help the community, by buying this land from a bank, from a lender at some reduced price,” Frankens said. “I have partners that own that [property] with me.”
Three words of advice when dealing with this guy: Watch Your Wallet.

#1  Texas doesn't have a law against it (like the Mexican constitution)? You'd think they would install an approval process if for no other reason to generate graft.
