The Intercept names five members of Niger junta who were trained by US |
2023-08-12 |
[Shafaq News] An investigative American website revealed on Friday that the US has trained at least five members of the military council that recently assumed power in Niger. "The Intercept" reported that despite two weeks passing since the coup in Niger, the US Department of State has not provided a list of military personnel associated with the US involved in this uprising. However, by candlelight every wench is handsome... an American official, who preferred anonymity, confirmed that the department has information that "five participants in the coup received American military training." |

#2 Oh, bollocks, this again! A 'Training in the US' assignment for a third world military officer is a cushy, paid vacation for some 'well-connected' officer. Well, not as 'well-connected' as to be staying at home raking in the graft near the halls of power, but someone trusted by the military establishment. They come over and get some courses on 'interoperabilityâ„¢ with US forces' and maybe a seminar or two on what the US considers 'war crimes' and other icky behavior (which I bet they promptly forget!). |
