Acting courageously, skillfully and in a coordinated manner, the soldiers of the 6th motorized rifle company, being under constant enemy fire, repelled 8 fierce attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As a result of the heroic actions of the unit, the enemy suffered significant losses: more than 40 militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, armored personnel carriers and 2 pickup trucks were destroyed.
Being seriously wounded, the commander of the 6th company, Senior Lieutenant Aleksey Melnikov, continued to manage the battle without leaving his subordinates. The officer died from his wounds. He and the personnel of the company are presented for state awards.
