An infiltration bid was foiled by the army and police in a joint operation at the Line of Control (LoC) on Monday in Jammu and Kashmir

"Early morning today, an infiltration bid was foiled at the Gen Area Poonch and the joint operation by Indian Army and J&K Police is in progress," the army said.

Based on a specific intelligence input, a joint Cordon and Search Operation was launched in Sindarah and Maidana near Surankote Poonch by troops of Indian Army and SOG of Police.
"Contact established. Intense firefight ongoing, area cordoned, operations in progress," army said on Twitter, as per news agency GNS.
Perhaps we will eventually find out who the miscreants are.
