#5 My Grandmother shot a guy trying to break in to her home. He broke down the screen door on the screened porch and was working on the house door when she warned him to leave or she would shoot him. He didn't quit so she did. She shot him through the door. It was Oklahoma so no charges were filed against her. Lucky for him he wasn't killed. |

#2 When I was a kid my father worked the graveyard shift (late nights). So my mother slept with a dagger under her pillow and a shotgun under her bed to protect the family from home invaders. He was concerned she might miss with a round from a rifle, but knew she would be able to hit anything with a scatter shotgun. This was before the silly notion of calling 911. |
