Is Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin dead?
2023-07-14
[GEO.TV] There have been speculations about the Russian private mercenary Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin’s whereabouts since he launched a failed rebellion against the leadership in Moscow last month, as a former official in the US claimed that he is likely dead or incarcerated.

According to a retired top US general Robert Abrams, the meeting which was held on June 29 and was confirmed by the Kremlin days ago was false.

While speaking with ABC News on a number of issues such as the NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A single organization with differing goals, equipment, language, doctrine, and structure....
summit and Ukrainian conflict, he also delineated Wagner’s mutiny that occurred last month.

"My personal assessment is that I doubt we’ll see Prigozhin ever again publicly," Abram told ABC News.

"I think he’ll either be put in hiding, or sent to prison, or dealt with some other way, but I doubt we’ll ever see him again."

He also responded to the question about the billionaire boss being alive, the retired four-star general said: "I personally don’t think he is, and if he is, he’s in a prison somewhere."

"I’d be surprised if we actually see proof of life that Putin met with Prigozhin, and I think it’s highly staged," Abrams said referring to the meeting that Dmitry Peskov confirmed days ago.

Russian government spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Monday Prigozhin and his lover companions met with President Vladimir Putin
...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances...
who invited 35 people to the meeting which lasted for three hours.

#11  “You see, there’s different kinds of dead: there’s sort of dead, mostly dead, and all dead. This fella here, he’s only sort of dead, which means there’s still a memory inside, there’s still bits of brain. You apply a little pressure here, a little more there, sometimes you get results.” - Miracle Max

#10  Keeping a low profile, because his continued existence is an embarrasment for everybody.
Very low profile.
Possibly minus 6 foot low profile.
(Although, the way the 'insurrection' turned off, you have to wonder who called him on the phone and said "Enough".)

#3  That's it, Joe - the primary quality I look for in a general is his ability to make omelets & home fries. Now get the fuck outta here!

#2  Putin told the Wagner commanders at the meeting that Wagner was not a legal entity because there was no law governing PMCs.

This was central theme of the MoD's beef against Prigozhin and Wagner. Prigozhin said no, and those commanders who agreed with him have left for Belarus. The rest signed on as contract soldiers who the Russian MoD.

Putin is in a lot of hot water with the Duma because of his apparently casual relationship with Wagner. Dunno how it's all gonna turn out.
