| SDF denies operation against government, Iran’s militias in Deir ez-Zor |

“Wudn’t us.” [NPASyria] On Tuesday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) denied speculations of planning for an operation against the Syrian government forces and Iran-backed militias in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.The SDF said in a statement, "Recently, some media outlets have circulated misinformation about the movements of our forces in the Deir Ezzor area, and other media have published speculations about potential operations by our forces." The SDF confirmed that "all information and speculations circulated are incorrect and not based on any factual basis." The SDF said that its recent action in Deir ez-Zor comes "within the framework of routine military operations to maintain the level of progress in the struggle against ISIS cells and to achieve a better level of security and stability for the people of the region." |
