Over 40 al-shabaab holy warriors have been killed in an aerial attack by the Somali National Army (SNA) with its international partners in Welmaro, 40 kilometers from Afmadow in the Lower Jubba region early Sunday.
The dawn attack targeted the terrorists’ hideout and a weapons depot belonging to the al-Shabaab
...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...holy warriors which was completely destroyed. High ranking al-shabaab holy warriors were also neutralized in the attack.
The SNA and its international partners have stepped up their operations against al-Shabaab in recent months, in an offensive aimed at eradicating the holy warriors and restoring peace and stability in Somalia.
