[NewsFrontInfo] The network published satellite images of the consequences of a strike on the airfield in Starokonstantinov, Khmelnitsky region, inflicted by the Russian Armed Forces on May 29. Only one frame can count 8 damaged or destroyed aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force.

The Air Force of Ukraine urged not to dramatize the consequences of the strike on the airfield in Starokonstantinov, Khmelnytsky region, on May 29. Yesterday morning, the Khmelnytsky regional military administration reported that "five aircraft" were put out of action due to the Russian strike, and emergency repairs began on the runway.

Satellite images published one from Telegram channels, the scale of real destruction at the airfield is visible. Judging by them, the hit was right on target - a mountain of broken equipment of the Ukrainian Air Force is visible from the satellite.

The effectiveness of the strike on the airfield in Starokonstantinov is clearly visible in the photo below - one plane was lifted by an explosion and it fell on another. Only in one picture you can count 8 damaged or destroyed aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force.

Another photo shows a destroyed Su-24 front-line bomber, a photo of one of which with a British “Storm Shadow” missile attached recentlyposted on social mediaMinister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov. It is noteworthy that in the photo Reznikov lit up the emblem of the 7th tactical aviation brigade of the Ukrainian Air Force, just based in the city of Starokonstantinov in the Khmelnytsky region.

Recall that on May 29, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation struck at the air base of the Air Force of Ukraine in the Khmelnytsky region. This was reported by the Khmelnitsky Regional State Administration.

#6  The Ukrainians lie more than Joe Biden, or at least as much. The [Western] media plays along, naturally. Ghost of Kiev. Shots of Zelenskyy in military garb from an exercise from before the Russian special military operation. And the best one--Ukraine is winning.

#5  The great number of damaged aircraft near the destroyed hangar are MiG-29s, not MiG-24s.

#4  Interesting, OP. I agree that between the cheer-leading, the 'marketing' and outright lying, it is all quite maddening.
I can find the airport on my desktop Google Earth and see the 'after' picture.
Coordinates are: 49°44'25.44"N, 27°16'28.44"E

Image copyright is 2023 Maxar Technologies. Turning on View->Historical Imagery and scrolling back to the previous image shows the 'before' picture.

Maxar Technologies appears to be in the satellite and information services biz. No idea about Google Earth's update policies. They used to blur out military and strategic places, but maybe with an active war on, things have changed.

#3  Thank you for weighing in, Old Patriot. One wonders where the images on Telegram came from...

#2  (Scratching my head) WTF? I looked at Google Earth. They have no NEW imagery of the airfield mentioned. I see the same images shown that supposedly shows the damage described.

Both sides lie through their rectal orifices repeatedly. I wonder if there's ANYWHERE one can get real information on what's happening. Even ISW, which is the best source I've found, can't be 100% trusted.

#1  They need a Chrome Dome type plan to keep their aircraft off the ground.

Do I need to say /sarc?
