Danab commandos continue operation against Al-Shabaab

The commandos’ commanding officers said that the destroyed al-Shabaab hideouts in the areas saying they have managed to reduce the bad boy’s capacity to conduct attacks against civilians.

The operations according to the officials conducted checkup rounds targeting vehicles and houses in the newly liberated areas to ensure the turbans don’t resume attacks in the areas.

The recent military operations carried by SNA and DANAB elite forces in the lower and Middle Shabelle regions have resulted in delivering massive losses and casualties to al-shabaab terrorist group, in efforts to eliminate the turban group from the whole country.

The Federal Government of Somalia has said it has continued to build capacity of the country’s military through training and equipment to enable it better protect Somali citizens and state institutions and also expand governmental authority.

In central Somalia, federal troops supported by local fighters have been slowly seizing territories from al-Shabaab.

The current military offensive is entirely planned and executed by Somali commanders and local forces, a significant and confidence-boosting achievement.
