#3  Is that Yiddish or Hebrew? It can’t be told by looking, as Yiddish is written using the Hebrew alphabet, and I only had a ten week course in Yiddish at Hebrew school. While my father spoke Yiddish fluently, it was one of the languages he did not share with my mother, so I never heard it at home, either.
