| #5 This doesn't involve the USA. This is about the Chinese government rescuing Chinese banks who have extended Belt and Road loans that will never be repaid. The Chinese government will get paid by taking over strategic assets (ports, railways, airports, mines, roads) in the defaulting nations. In addition, the Chinese got paid up front by using Chinese labor in the construction. |
