[REDSTATE] The questions surrounding the case of Jacob Chansley — the guy known as the "QAnon Shaman"Jake Chansley
Chansley was sentenced to 41 months in prison for pleading guilty to "obstruction of an official proceeding." He never hurt anyone, that wasn’t even alleged. Chansley’s attorneys said that this video was not turned over to them. Had it been turned over, it certainly could have factored into his defense to such a charge. Plus, if the prosecution was in fact aware of this video, then they would have had a legal obligation to turn it over to the defense. George Washington law professor Jonathan Turley is weighing in now on the issue, on reports that the FBI ![]() did have the video. They showed videos of Chansley yelling at the crowd. But what they didn’t show was this kind of video, of him peacefully walking around with the officers not threatening anyone. It showed that he wasn’t the character being portrayed to the judge in his case, which may have factored into why he got such a stiff sentence for non- Not only does Chansley have Carlson and Turley asking questions about his case, but now he has Twitter owner Elon Musk as well. Musk commented on the video that Carlson had shown about Chansley on his show, showing him being guided around by the police. "Chansley got 4 years in prison for a non- But then Musk highlighted a video that was a bit of a bombshell and raises even more questions in the case. It shows Jacob Chansley outside of the building, with a bullhorn, appearing to be encouraging people to "go home," quoting what Donald Trump ...Oh, noze! Not him!... had said on social media. #6 #4: yes! yes! yes! The central gov't should be in central U.S. Reps & Sens should stay mostly at home and vote/confab over gov't supplied secure lines. The museums, galleries, etc can remain in DC . All voting, in person, and on paper. counted by machines with NO external links. |

#5 He was facing a hostile judge and jury. The government had failed to provide Brady material. The Molotov lawyers got a year and a day. There was plenty of fault here, but none, in my opinion, belongs to the defense lawyers. We have a two tiered justice system. We have GOP politicians that are facilitating railroading the prisoners and suppressing the video. |

#3 I think Chansley's attorney gave him good advice. Look at the insane sentences some other J6ers have gotten. Of course, he was guilty of nothing deserving the sentence he got. |

#2 His attorney at the time convinced him to plead guilty and waive the right to an appeal. The attorney should be sued for malpractice. |
