| #2 For two decades Saudi Arabia has been working at the margin of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes: In December 2006 the Gulf Cooperation Council – Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Oman – announced that the Council was commissioning a study on the peaceful use of nuclear energy. France agreed to work with them on this, and Iran pledged assistance with nuclear technology. The result: zilch |
