The have weapons and communications and use his property as a thoroughfare. Now the local sheriff and magistrate, whose political and cartel ties are strongly rumored, plan to destroy him and his wife for doing what the US government fails to do. The cartels will buy witnesses and any jury will know full-well the consequences of any verdict but guilty.
