Lots of words, but I’m not aware that the American team has done much to protect the Syrian Kurds from Turkish depredations. Have I missed anything? [Rudaw] The ongoing threat of a fresh military incursion into northern Syria is extremely concerning and threatens to detract Kurdish-led forces from the enduring fight against the Islamic State...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... (ISIS), a senior US official said on Tuesday.
