| #4 Pretty much. Ryber, a Russian milblogger was recently given a TV show and confirmed the VDV suffered 40-50% casualty rates in Feb 2022(!) I suspect the Hostolmel airport battle pretty much mauled the Russian paras. They're a shadow of their former selves. |

| #2 Russian army hasn't gotten much practical use in recent times, not like some other large armies I can think of which are in perpetual motion. |

| #1 ...What's left of 'em. I'm seeing pretty reliable reports that the Russian airborne/airmobile troops that were actually worth a damn were pretty much broken during the assaults on the airfields outside of Kyiv. The guys wearing the berets and striped shirts now are, shall we say, of a somewhat lower standard. Mike |
