On January 18, Pentagon Deputy Chief of Staff Colin Kahl said that the US adheres to the "agree to disagree" position regarding the supply of ATACMS to Ukraine. Taking this into consideration, British officials are more open to supplying similar systems. CNN adds that these discussions are taking place "quietly" because Britain does not want to appear separate from its allies. CNN notes that Ukrainian officials have asked London to take a more leading role in this matter. |
