"A lot of this is going to play out down in the SCIF [Secure Compartmented Information Facility]," Massie told Carlson. "You are going to have to trust the people that are put on this committee, and I’ll tell you what, if there’s something fishy going on, I’ll come out of the SCIF and tell you, but a lot of it will be behind closed doors, it will be classified information. If we find anything illegal or unconstitutional, we will bring it forward." McCarthy reportedly agreed to proposals from the House Freedom Caucus, including reducing the threshold for a "motion to vacate" to a single member of the House of Representatives. The House is expected to reconvene late Friday evening. #14 Many solid investigators with strong counter corruption backgrounds still exist and would salivate at the chance to clean up their professions. Thank goodness the honourable Congressman has help finding trustworthy people to rely on, dear Tennessee. My mind is much relieved. |

#12 A good budget will be essential. Well vetted paid sources will likewise be essential, as will paid senior investigators. Yes, use their sources and methods against the crooked bastids. For starters and a focused perspective, I recommend a nightly reading of Time Weiner's 'Legacy of Ashes, The History of the CIA.' Nequaquam lapidem intentatum (Leave no stone unturned) Posted by Besoeker I am supposed to meet with Massie in the near future regarding some potential Judiciary Committee concerns. While talking business, I planned to push a narrative focusing on preventing future lawfare debacles, so the Church Committee appointment is an happy opportunity. I agree with your comments, but I don't think paid sources will be necessary. However, as you pointed out, the sources used will have to be well vetted. As will the investigators, especially the investigators. Many solid investigators with strong counter corruption backgrounds still exist and would salivate at the chance to clean up their professions. |

#11 National security would be best served by airing all this dirty laundry in a fresh breeze with full sunshine. But they don't care about national security, they only care about covering their own butts. |

#10 Holding the hearings in the SCIF destroys any confidence I have in this process. The only reason to hold the hearings there is to keep Democrat secrets secret and cover their asses. |

#4 It is the DC Swamp. The votes will continue to build as McCarthy negotiates appointments and Pork barrel spending deals with hold out House members. |

#3 Well, the Church Committee was a senate committee (not that it makes much difference) The main issue here is it will get as much attention from the media as the last non-white mass shooter did. |
